Singapore: A Week of Perspective and Possibility

Two weeks ago, I landed in Singapore for the first time.

I’ve felt pulled toward Asia for a while, and through conversations with mentors like Helen Foo, I was invited to pitch at a Praxis Singapore gathering. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had just returned from a whirlwind week at CES, was already exhausted before starting a 24-hour travel day, and my kids were less than thrilled that I was leaving again so soon.

It would have been easy to say no.

Instead, what unfolded was an extraordinary week — built around mission, food, culture, and real human connection.

Singapore is a place where four official languages are spoken and cultural and religious differences coexist with humility and mutual respect. Experiencing that firsthand was powerful. It offered contrast. It sparked reflection. It reminded me that innovation doesn’t happen in isolation — it’s shaped by the environments and values around us.

The conversations weren’t just about business. They were about long-term thinking. Health. Infrastructure. Impact across generations. The kind of discussions that stretch your perspective beyond your own market.

I’m deeply grateful to the Praxis team and to the new and old friends who made the week meaningful.

Hydrostasis has always been built with a global lens. This trip reinforced that our mission — helping people prevent chronic dehydration before it impacts health and performance — doesn’t stop at borders.

We’re excited to explore what’s possible with our new connections in Singapore and across the broader APAC region.

Sometimes the longest travel days lead to the clearest thinking.
