“Thankful” doesn’t even begin to cover it.
If you know us well, you know celebrating doesn’t come naturally—there’s always another problem to solve, another deadline looming. But for Hydrostasis’ 7th birthday, it felt important to stop, look up, and mark the moment.
The timing was chaotic, as usual. We were deep in preparation for an upcoming launch while running a research study at ASAP IVs that same weekend. Fires everywhere. And yet, somehow, everything worked itself out—including a much-needed happy hour.
What made the night special wasn’t the event itself, but the people. Faces we hadn’t seen in years.
Conversations that picked up right where they left off. We set up a display case showing our sensors through the years—each prototype a chapter of the story. Some worked. Some failed spectacularly. All of them taught us something. Seeing them together was quietly powerful.
Building Hydrostasis has never been a straight line. It’s been persistence, iteration, setbacks, small wins, and the steady belief that this work matters. Being in the same room, sharing stories, and saying thank you—in person—was a reminder of why we keep going.
To everyone who has been part of this journey in any way: thank you. Truly.
And a special thanks to Felena Hanson and Hera Hub – Sorrento Valley, and Nidhi Juneja at Amazing Graze Creations for helping bring the night together.
Seven years in. Still building.
