A few weeks ago, we completed a hands-on research study with ASAP IVs, putting GECA Watch 2.0 to the test in a real clinical setting.
Fifteen participants wore our latest sensors while we collected data before, during, and after IV hydration therapy. The goal was simple: understand how the body’s hydration state changes in real time—and whether GECA Watch 2.0 can track those shifts accurately as they happen.
For the first time, our founder also experienced IV hydration while wearing GECA Watch 2.0. Watching the app shift from dry (red) to slightly dehydrated (yellow) and finally to hydrated (blue)—live, on-screen—was one of those moments where years of research suddenly clicked into place. The data wasn’t abstract. It was visible. Immediate. Personal.
This study wouldn’t have been possible without an incredible team. Huge thanks to Jean Flores and Michelle Hoogenhout for running the study, Ericka Ruffner, RN, Dr. Taylor J. Graber, MD and the team at ASAP IVs for the partnership, and Edgewise Productions for capturing the experience so powerfully.
Real people. Real hydration. Real-time insight.
This is what GECA Watch 2.0 was built for.
