LONG BEACH, May 2024 -- Hydrostasis will be presenting at the National Kidney Foundation Spring Clinical Meeting 2024, where the company will be presenting a research poster titled: “Clinical Evaluation of a Wearable Personal Hydration Monitoring Technology" led by Hydrostasis' own Michelle Hoogenhout.
The poster highlights the findings of a multi-year clinical collaboration between Hydrostasis and leading researchers at UC San Diego Health, including Dr. Bethany Karl, Dr. Tomasz Beben, and Eugene Sato of the UC San Diego Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute. Together, the team has been working toward the development of a non-invasive, continuous hydration monitoring solution designed to support fluid management, particularly critical for patients with kidney-related conditions.
This milestone marks an exciting step forward in validating Hydrostasis’ wearable technology in clinical settings. The innovation leverages real-time optical sensors and intelligent algorithms to provide personalized hydration insights, offering potential benefits for both chronic condition management and broader healthcare applications.
“We are incredibly proud of what our team, alongside our amazing collaborators at UC San Diego, has accomplished,” said Hydrostasis Founder and CEO Debbie Chen. “This project represents years of research and development, and this poster presentation is just the beginning of what we hope will be a new standard in fluid monitoring.”
As the healthcare community continues to look for better tools to manage hydration in at-risk populations, Hydrostasis is honored to contribute to the conversation at one of the most respected gatherings of nephrology professionals in the country.
