Hydrostasis Selected as a Finalist at ACA Innovation Funders Showcase
May 2021

SAN DIEGO, May 2021 -- Hydrostasis has been selected by NIH SEED to present at the Angel Capital Association (ACA) Innovation Funders Showcase, one of the nation’s premier forums for early-stage investment opportunities in breakthrough science-based startups.

Hydrostasis was among a select group of companies chosen to present at the showcase, with a special distinction: it was also named one of just three finalists invited to return for a deeper dive presentation on Thursday, May 6. The company joins fellow finalists Reia and Sonavi Labs, Inc. in advancing to the final round.

Backed by the National Institutes of Health's SEED Office, which supports the development and commercialization of NIH-funded innovations - Hydrostasis was recognized for its pioneering work in hydration monitoring. The company’s technology uses optical sensors and proprietary algorithms to deliver real-time, personalized hydration data, empowering users to manage fluid intake proactively. Its applications span athletics, elder care, and the management of chronic conditions like heart failure and kidney disease.

Founded by CEO Debbie Chen, Hydrostasis has gained attention for its innovative approach to a complex and underserved area of health monitoring: hydration. The company’s work has already earned it multiple grants, pilot studies, and a recently issued U.S. patent for its core tissue hydration sensing technology.

Participation in the ACA Innovation Funders Showcase offers Hydrostasis a unique opportunity to connect with angel investors and strategic partners as it continues to scale development and expand into new markets.
